sdo but i think i'll go out for a ride tonight...

...because I've eaten 2 muffins today. One delicious whole wheat bran raisin thing the cafe bakes here in the library (It was still warm. I resisted the butter) for morning break and then one small but piping hot blueberry muffin from Chuckie. When Chuckie shows up with a basket of muffins you do not say "No thank you!"

I'm full. Really full. And feeling baked goodsed out.

So, a ride tonight around Lake Mac is going to be in order followed by some sort of spinach tofu stir fry. Or a panini. Or something else I manage to come up with based on the haul from the market yesterday.

I'm reading "The Sun Also Rises." I have been a long time hater of Hemingway. Unfortunately my introduction to him was "A Farewell to Arms" which just sucked. Last summer I did enjoy "Nick Adams Stories" based on a recommendation of a friend, but I just sort of let it lie for a year. I've recently become friends with yet another Hemingway fan and decided to dip my toe back in the lost generation. I love it. I read the bullfighting chapters last night during the wee hours of the morning when I was unable to sleep. I'm pretty sure my feminist and peta cards are going to get taken away, but those chapters were incredible. I always considered his writing the worst type of machismo. I was wrong. And I guess I've forgotten how much I, uh, like so many other misogynistic types.

Bukowski, anyone?
